Social Enrichment
Our work goes far deeper than housing
Supporting our clients with housing is key to what we do, but a roof alone doesn’t address the deeper isolation felt by many people experiencing homelessness. That’s why an integral part of our work is about tackling social isolation, low wellbeing and lacking confidence. Whether it’s a gardening group, a mindfulness session, or just enjoying a cuppa and a chat – these relaxed sessions are designed around what people actually want and need.

Art and music groups at St Clare’s are open to all adults in our community, but our IT-drop ins and cooking groups are exclusively for people with a connection to our services. All groups are free with no sign-up needed.

Tuesday: Cooking Group
Learn new recipes, share tips and enjoy the process of making food – this group is all about building confidence in the kitchen in a relaxed, supportive setting. There’s currently a waiting list to join this group. 12-3.30pm

Wednesday: Art Group
Paint, pastels, poems and more – this group is all about making art together in a low-pressure space. We brush up on techniques, share ideas, supplies, snacks and lots of laughter. 1.30-3pm

Thursday: IT Drop-In
A judgment-free and friendly space to improve digital skills and build confidence using technology. With many services only available online, it’s critical that we all have the equipment and skills to access these safely. Sessions cover the basics, like turning on your laptop, to managing your finances, accessing health services and much more. 1-3pm

Thursday: Music Group
Many of our groups encourage self-expression but this one does it through sound. We have instruments you can pick up and play, or bring your own! 3.30-5pm
Littlehampton Community Hub
United Reformed Church, 1 High Street, Littlehampton, BN17 5EG
Groups here are for everyone over 18 in the community. They all take place from 1-3pm and are free to enter with no sign-up needed.

Social Mondays
These relaxed sessions bring people together to take part in any activity they fancy – from board games and crafts to films and friendly chats. We’re tackling social isolation one blue Monday at a time! 1-3pm

Tuesday: Grow Club
Our hub has a peaceful garden tended by our gardening group, aka Grow Club. We grow fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs, getting in touch with nature while learning about sustainability. 1-3pm

Wellbeing Wednesdays
Each week brings something different – gentle fitness, cooking on a budget or self-care workshops to name a few. It’s an informal, supportive space to try new things and look after your wellbeing. 1-3pm
