Leaving a gift in your will doesn’t have to be complicated. Once you’ve provided for the people you love, even a small share of what’s left can make a big difference to someone who has nowhere else to go. It’s also worth knowing that gifts to charity can reduce or even remove inheritance tax on your estate, helping your generosity to go even further.
How to give
There are three main ways you can remember Turning Tides in your will:
- Specific gift: leave an item such as property, jewellery or furniture
- Cash gift: choose a set amount of money to donate
- Residuary gift: leave what’s left of your estate once loved ones and any costs are taken care of

For me, the whole thing with Turning Tides is about engaging and encouragement. It’s all done from a kind heart. Compassion. Never had that before. I sobered up my second year.
