In 2018, we acquired accommodation in East Grinstead, opened a 34-bed assessment centre in Worthing and set up an assertive outreach service to rough sleepers across Mid Sussex. We have over 100 staff and 300 volunteers.

Based in Horsham three days per week and Mid Sussex two days per week, the Outreach Co-ordinator will lead on the further development and implementation of rough sleeping services, including supervising staff, direct client casework and will assist the Hubs and Quality Manager to develop relationships within the Horsham and Mid Sussex communities. This will include other voluntary services such as church based support, alongside statutory services such as local authorities, mental health and housing providers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has experience of working with vulnerable people with an understanding of the difficulties they experience in accessing services, as well as some experience of supervising paid or voluntary staff. You will also have experience of supporting clients with complex needs and addressing these needs through effective casework management.
You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage and plan your own workload and meet deadlines and targets is essential. Good IT Skills are a must.
All applicants must have a full driving license and use of their own vehicle. Mutually agreed travel costs across the districts will be met by Turning Tides.
