Salary £24,380 per annum

Waking Night Shift: 7.30pm- 7.30am
Turning Tides is a multifunctional, complex needs homelessness organisation that works in Worthing, Adur, Littlehampton, Horsham and Mid Sussex. It has over 100 staff and 300 volunteers. Its mission is to end the need to sleep rough.
Turning Tides has an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to embark on a new role within our St Clare’s Community Hub as a Night Shelter Lead.
Turning Tides in partnership with Adur and Worthing Borough Council, have been awarded funding by MHCLG (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government) to provide a night shelter for those rough sleeping in Worthing. This new night shelter will provide a vital provision to those who are homeless, giving them somewhere warm and safe to sleep, over the coldest months.
We are looking to recruit a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team to support the introduction of this new service. Previous of experience of supervising staff or volunteers would be advantageous.
The role will require you to work three or four night shifts per week starting at 7.30pm and finishing at 7.30am, including some weekends. You will have good communication skills and an awareness of the issues that affect homeless individuals. You will be passionate about working for a charity that is striving for communities without homelessness.
