Project Worker – Byron and Manor Road

Turning Tides is a multifunctional, complex needs homelessness organisation that works in Worthing, Adur, Littlehampton, Horsham and Mid Sussex. It has over 150 staff and 250 volunteers. Its mission is to end local homelessness.

The Byron residential project provides high support accommodation for those that are homeless in Worthing, while the Manor residential project provides low to medium ‘move on’ support for those working towards independent living. Using a harm minimisation approach within psychologically informed environments, you will work in partnership with residents and the staff team on a case work basis, implementing specialist interventions and linking with local agencies to forge personalised pathways out of homelessness into suitable housing.

Turning Tides are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative and resilient, and who can motivate and inspire people to make positive life changes.

Experience of delivering support to vulnerable people with multiple and complex needs is essential, as is a basic knowledge of substance misuse, relapse prevention and mental health, using strengths-based interventions.
