Outreach Worker – District of Arun
Turning Tides in partnership with Stonepillow and Arun District Council, have been awarded funding by MHCLG (Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government) as part of the Rough Sleeper Initiative, to provide an Outreach Service for rough sleepers in the district of Arun.
This role is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the local community, working collaboratively with Arun District Council Housing Options Team and Stonepillow’s Outreach Worker to lead on assessing and supporting rough sleepers, building rapport and developing relationships with those who have been hard to engage with.
The role will also require key working with an identified cohort of rough sleepers and respond to Streetlink referrals through assertive outreach, by working proactively with individuals and all partners involved to enable and achieve sustained positive behavioural change.
The Outreach Worker will support the development of a multi-agency response to rough sleeping and homelessness, facilitating a proactive and sustainable homeless prevention model involving all relevant local services and initiatives.
