The Role

The Housing First Worker will take a lead role in providing intensive wrap-around support to a small caseload of clients who have been housed through the Housing First approach. This role involves working closely with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure our clients have access to the necessary support to maintain their accommodation and thrive in the local community.

In this role, you will engage with clients who have a history of disengagement from services, utilising various techniques to establish meaningful relationships and develop personalised support plans. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate client data and preparing detailed reports on service outcomes for both external funders and internal reviews. Collaboration with stakeholders will be crucial as you monitor and report on quantitative and qualitative data, including case studies and key performance indicators. Additionally, ensuring strict compliance with organisational policies, particularly in areas such as health and safety, safeguarding, data management, and financial reporting, will be essential to success in this position.

About You

You have:

  • Good knowledge of housing and homelessness issues.
  • Understanding of Psychologically Informed Environments and Housing First principles.
  • Experience in delivering support to vulnerable individuals with multiple and complex needs.
  • Proficiency in addressing mental health, personality disorders, substance misuse, and relapse management issues.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire clients towards positive life changes.
  • Effective negotiation skills with key stakeholders and agency partners.
