Funding Cuts to Turning Tides
This year sees us facing some of our biggest challenges, some of which could seriously affect our ability to continue supporting many of our clients who have the highest support needs – several of whom are the most vulnerable people in our community. These are people who have mental or physical health issues and/ or drug and alcohol misuse problems - some of whom will have been rough sleeping for a very long time.
From 1 October this year, the funding the charity receives from West Sussex County Council to run its ‘Housing Related Support’ services will be cut by £38,361 per annum. This funding has previously enabled us to run our high support services at Byron, Manor and Lyndhurst Roads – projects that currently enable us to work with some of the most vulnerable clients in our community.
We are looking to our local community for help.
