Event Description

Where is your safe space? Is it somewhere you physically go or can go? Is it somewhere you visit in your mind? Is your space safe dependent on who you are with, what you are doing?

We have asking people who have experienced homelessness and people who have not to tell us what their ‘safe space’ is. We then gave these descriptions to local artists to then create a visual representation!

All the artists have a agreed to donate their work to charity so that we may auction the portraits off to raise money from the event to support the invaluable work that Turning Tides do in our community. This year we will be exhibiting at Colonnade House! We would therefor like to invite you to join in celebrating the talented work local artists and learning more about homelessness. We hope this exhibition will allow us all to reflect on our own 'Safe Space'... our safe lives and think about those in our community that are less fortunate than ourselves.

Not only do we have the Safe Spaces exhibition on at Colonnade house, but we also have several other exhibitions on around the town in our projects. Displaying artwork from clients, staff and supporters of Turning Tides.
