Woolly Hat Day
On Friday 6th November, join us in wearing a woolly hat for the day to raise money for Turning Tides. Take part as a family, a business, a school, a church – in any way you can!
We ask that each person taking part donates £2.00 and take a photo of themselves, their group of friends or their colleagues in their hats to share on Facebook or Twitter. We have run this day for the last two years and it was really successful so we are trying to make it a little bit bigger this year.
If you would like to hold a Wear a Woolly Hat Day in your school and would like some promotional materials to inspire pupils then please do not hesitate to contact Abi Harley on 01903 227829 or email email@example.com . In previous years some work places and schools really got into the spirit by having a cake sale to raise funds and some even collected warm clothing or food to help support the projects. We will support your efforts through social media and promote your involvement through our press releases if you let us know how you have been or how you will like to be involved. If you would like to know more about the charity, we can happily arrange a member of the team to come into the school or class and give a talk about our work. We hope that the event will be a lot of fun for staff, pupils and parents and will be beneficial for the schools involved.
Please find attached a poster promoting the event, a poster explaining how it works and information about our work in the town. Homelessness is a town wide issue and by working together we can find the right solution for the more than 1000 people that turn to us each year.
