St Clare's Community Hub 36 hour DIY SOS
St Clare's Community Hub provides an essential service for those rough sleeping and insecurely housed in the local area. It is often the first entry point for clients coming into our services. The Hub is there to meet the physical and physiological needs of those on the street. Here, we not only provide breakfast, showers, toilets, laundry and access to clean bedding and clothes, but also the support of mental health, substance misuse and housing workers.
However, St Clare's is starting to look a little tired and in need of lick of paint and some love and care. We want this space to inspire our staff and clients and be somewhere our clients can call home for a couple of hours each morning!
With your help, we want to transform out Community Hub in 36hrs in a DIY extravaganza! Here is how you can help:
- Lend a hand on the day! Sign up to help us for an hour or two painting, decorating, making teas, moving furniture, cleaning etc. You don't need to be an expert you just need to lend a hand!
- Skilled worker help. Are you an electrician, joiner, painter, plumber or general builder? Could you volunteer your time to help us with some technical bits?
- Corporate support. We are looking for donations of paint, painting equipment, lighting, shelving, indoor plants wood, wood and more wood! Alternatively could you staff lead a hand for a team building day.
If you are able to help with any of these things or would like to sign up for a shift please contact Amy on 01903 680740 ext 212 or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
