Lyndhurst Rd Open Day
Tel: 01903 680740
Turning Tides would like to invite supporters of the charity to an open day of our new project, at 22 Lyndhurst Road, on the 6th of April 2018, between 10am and 4pm.
We understand that homelessness is a community issue, which is why we are keen to have the involvement of local residents. The open day will provide a chance for you to have a look around the newly renovated building, talk to staff and ask any questions you have. There will be guided tours every hour on the hour. Refreshments will also be provided.
In Worthing we have seen a large increase in homelessness in recent years. With 35 individuals rough sleeping on our streets every night. The opening of this new project is in response to this worrying trend. It is our hope, that at Lyndhurst, we will be able to make a lasting difference to the lives of those most vulnerable in our community.
The new project at Lyndhurst will provide short-term accommodation for up to 37 individuals experiencing homelessness locally. After assessment, clients will be referred into other projects or helped to find alternative housing solutions. This project will also host a multi-agency team from different local services including the council's housing team.
If you are a neighbour of 22 Lyndhurst there will be another open day specifically for you, where you can ask our staff any questions you have. Information about this will be coming to you via post shortly.
