When someone chooses to fundraise for Turning Tides, it means more than <\/span>just money.<\/span> It means people experiencing homelessness know <\/span>that<\/span> their community is standing beside them. It means neighbours <\/span>are<\/span> pulling together to make sure <\/span>there\u2019s<\/span> food on the table, a safe place to stay and the chance to rebuild a life with dignity. <\/span>It means care, love and support.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why fundraise for Turning Tides?<\/h2>\n

Homelessness is often more widespread than it looks. For every person you see rough sleeping, there are at least another 20 people <\/span>in \u2018hidden homelessness\u2019 \u2013 sofa-surfing, staying in hostels or living in unsafe accommodation. And those numbers are <\/span>on the up.<\/span><\/p>\n

The cost-of-living crisis, rising rents and a shortage of affordable housing are pushing more people into insecure situations. In 2024, councils across England recorded over 100,000 households in temporary accommodation<\/a> \u2013 the highest figure since records began. Rough sleeping has also increased by more than a quarter in the past year alone.<\/p>\n
