Why do you work for Turning Tides?

I was attracted to work for Turning Tides for a number of reasons. The most important reason was that I am passionate about what the charity does and I wanted a role that meant I could have a positive impact on my local community. Secondary to this was I needed a job that fitted round my life and my young family. Turning Tides met both of these and enables me to make a difference while still having work life balance.

What do you love about your job?

It is tricky to pin point what I love about my job as I genuinely love everything about my job. I love meeting so many interesting and diverse people, both clients and volunteers, I love the variety it offers and I love the freedom the organisation allows for creative and innovative ways to improve and enhance staff, clients and volunteers experiences.

What is something you are proud of?

I am proud of how volunteering has developed over the last couple of years. Everything we do is with client and volunteers in mind while offering volunteers the best possible experience. I am proud of our corporate and youth volunteering opportunities and how we involve the wider community in the organisation.
