Turning Tides is a multifunctional, complex needs homelessness organisation that works in Worthing, Adur, Littlehampton, Horsham and Mid Sussex. It has over 100 staff and 300 volunteers. Its mission is to end the need to sleep rough.

The role is based within our East Grinstead residential service consisting of 3 adjacent properties with 17 single rooms and shared facilities. There is an office on site and a large rear garden. As a single service, it provides medium to low support, with you as a dedicated support worker. The scheme exists to help single homeless people who need accommodation within a supported environment and who may otherwise be exposed to the effects of rough sleeping, loneliness and isolation.

You will work on a needs led and casework basis in order to ensure residents wellbeing and connectivity within the wider community.

You must be resilient, creative and passionate about supporting people, with the skills to make difficult decisions when needed and have a robust approach to managing risk and crises. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, be able to plan and manage your own workload, have good IT skills and meet deadlines and targets when required.
